Dodgers’ Yasiel Puig Hosts Second Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig hosted his second annual celebrity poker tournament to benefit the Wild Horse Children’s Foundation at Dodger Stadium on Thursday. Proceeds from the event benefited the refurbishment of fields and the creation of a community facility at Pioneer Park in partnership with the City of San Fernando.

The event kicked off with a star-studded red carpet including event emcee Cedric the Entertainer, current and former Dodgers players, Lakers Kyle Kuzma, LA Kings Tyler Toffoli, MMA fighter Chuck Liddell, World Series of Poker Champion Jamie Gold and more.

VIP guests enjoyed a cocktail hour followed by a private dinner provided by Tapia Brothers and prepared by Yasiel Puig’s personal chef, Chef David Fuerte.

The dinner program was emceed by Cedric the Entertainer and highlighted young stars including three-year-old drummer LJ Wilson “Baby Boy Drummer.”

Poker Tournament participants and general admission guests enjoyed an open bar featuring Diageo brand alcohol, REV wine and beer, and micheladas by Camarones Cabrones. A variety of food was provided by Quieres Tacos Way, Magaly’s Tamales, Firehouse Subs, and desserts by Porto’s Bakery, Sprinkles, Roscoe Bakery and Bubbies Ice Cream.

The Poker Tournament winner was Brad Harris, who shared the final table with Steve Mason, Ed Burnell, Francisco Franco, Perry Quinn, Chris English, Upendra Laxmidas, Will Kassoy and Pablo Garcia.
