Jeremy Peña, rookie shortstop for the Houston Astros, was named the 2022 World Series MVP after going 2 for 4 in a Game 6 win over the Philadelphia Phillies and 10 for 25 (.400) with a home run in the Series, while playing excellent defense.
Peña is the third rookie and first rookie position player to receive the World Series MVP Award. He is the ninth player to win both Championship Series MVP and World Series MVP in the same year.
